specs upgraded for surface pro 2 from i5 4200u to 4300

Hi.
I would like to buy surface Pro 2 512GB and lot is #2047.
Can anyone confirm, that even 512Gb model will be with 4300 CPU?

Back in late January/early Feb, when I was in the market for a Surface Pro 2, the MSFT rep at Best Buy said that all new shipments would have the 4300 processor. I would imagine that by now, there are few 4200s left, and he also said there was no way to tell by the lot number. Roll the dice! Hopefully you have the option to exchange it if it's one of the. Old processors.

That is actually the reason I ordered online instead of going to the local Best Buy. I also think that new shipments are coming out only with the new processor and only old stock will still have the old processor which should not be that many. In my case since I live in a small town and I do not expect people here to be buying that many Surfaces I did not want to risk getting some old stock.

I just purchased a Surface Pro 2 from the MS online store and can confirm it is the updated processor. Its quite an upgrade from the Surface RT I had as it operates so smoothly. The pen works wonderfully too!

I have a 256/8 model and with the newer CPU. Had it since mid-March and liking it a lot. Worthy upgrade from my Note10.1.

However, I have heard some users with newer CPUs that needed a replacement due to issues received older 4200 CPUs instead.
