Speech recognition stopped working

The Speech recognition on my Lumia 1020 has stopped working. I can use the phone (so I don't think it's the mic) I tried with a headset also but I just get the message "Sorry couldn't hear anything, try saying....." - everything is set in Settings, but it just won't hear me..... any ideas????????

Have you tried a soft reset?

I just did a soft reset and the problem is still there, "Sorry I didn't hear anything........" maybe take it to the Nokia Care Center?

Apparently the speakerphone isn't working either, which makes me think there is a problem with the 2nd mic........

My speech stopped working, all I kept getting was the voice message... 'sorry, cant hear anything'... I noticed that if I pressed on the glass, near to the ear speaker, the speech would work as long as I kept pressing, so I dismantled the phone and saw that a sprung electrical contact was bent lower than its neighbouring contacts, I bent it up and re-assembled the phone and speech works perfectly now.
