Speed up the phone

Is there any way I can speed up my phone (without upgrading to a phone with 1GB ram...) for example how do I disable background apps if possible that aren't being used etc. :smile:

If ur in wp 8 u cld swipe left in settings and disable all background tasks.
Of ur on 8.1 go to battery saver-> usage and disable all background tasks.

Disabling background tasks may speed up things but remember you won't get any notifications from the apps like WhatsApp, messenger or Facebook...

Might want to restart and or soft reset the phone regularly.

Keep some free space on the phone, an. SD card will make that easier.
