Split screen in landscape mode?

Got the anniversary update on my 950. When I go to landscape mode to read emails or messages, the screen splits into 2 windows with the email/ text on the left and the inbox list of emails/messages on the right.

I can't find a setting to turn this off.

That is terrible! So when I reply to a message in landscape MS thinks I should look at the inbox in half the screen!

only reducing screen scaling will change that, but that will affect the rest of the system and apps

I'm not seeing this on my 1520.3 which just updated to AU and I have the most screen real estate available. *shrug*

Store tells me my Outlook mail and calendar is up to date.

That explains why I don't see it then. I'm not reducing my scaling.
