Step Count observation

Before I got a B2, my L640 counted steps and sent the data to the MS Health app.

Now that I have a B2 it too sends step count data to the same MS Health app.

Wonder how the Health app handles this. Anyone?

Suppose I can just disable Motion Data on the phone but you'd think this would be mentioned somewhere unless I missed it.

I don't have my Band 2 yet but when I set up the Health app on my Android is asked if I wanted it to track steps etc with the phone when I don't have the Band on.

So I'm guessing from that it will know to disregard steps from the phone If the Band is counting steps.

I also interpreted that phrasing to mean that the step count from the phone is only figured for periods where the Band wasn't worn.
