MS' marketing has really stepped up nicely as of late. The new tablet and hybrid commercials that came out with 8.1 have not been too bold, but they are pleasant and get the point across.

Apple just seems to be going the overly dramatic route now, and Google just uses clips from pop culture to sell their junk. Yeah cool, I saw a brief clip of that movie I liked... i'm still not buying a POS Chromebook.

Yeah I agree, the adverts should be more relevant to different ages too. Not just people who work. Kids, teenagers, students etc. So much opportunities to persuade consumers.

As much as I love Microsoft, I have to say that they really messed up with the marketing of Windows 8/8.1, the Surfae (lol I don't speak Latin) and Windows Phone.

These products seem to have confused the hell out of the tech journalists as well...lol

xbox phone would be a more appropriate name for windows phone.

The month of December seemed to be Lumia 520 month here in the UK - can't read any paper without seeing it advertised "just ?69.95". Not that I'm complaining, quite the opposite.
