Sticky shift key

When I close the type-cover while away/carrying the SP4 from desk to meeting, my shift key is "stuck" down. It is not physically stuck in the down position, the type-cover registers all key strokes as if the shift key was pressed down. I have messed around in the "ease of access" settings and nothing works.

SP4, i7, 256GB. Is anyone else experiencing this, or can replicate this on their SP4?

I've had this happen on my Surface Pro 2. Try double-tapping the left shift key to remove the shift lock.
