Fellow 1020 user here on ATT. Got Cyan by downgrading to 8.0, enrolled in DP to get 8.1.1. Battery was terrible, 100% showed 6 hours remaining, overall the statistics were inconsistent. Could have been battery calibration issue. Did a hard reset, let it drain completely, and accidentally turned off Battery Saver. Been OK since then, clocked 21 hours max. In idle mode is 1-2% discharge rate. Hope this helps. Battery saver is still OFF.

I have gone back and adjusted several apps to not running the background. It is the only thing I've found that I had missed in my setup. I'm now back to pre-Cyan battery life, which is acceptable to me.

I do have Cortana enabled always, and battery saver is set to when battery is low.

I guess I have to take it back. Initially it was bad, but I realized a lot of it because I had to hard reset to go back to 8. After installing 8.1 + Cyan, I loaded tons of music, and it was working on the background to sort all the playlists and stuff. I charged the phone last night (24 hours ago). With average use it is still 53%, which means I am pretty much back to normal. Another family member (1520) reported battery live improvement after upgrading. BTW I am using battery saver, and killed several apps, only left essentials. I am using Cortana all the time
