Hi guys, I'm new here..

My beloved L920's LCD / touch pad got fried (gaming, my fault) just a couple of months ago and I find it pointless to have it repaired since the design / specs are a little bit obsolete. I usually go for the latest / highest specs available so I can use it for a long time. My siblings told me to switch to IP6 and my cuz is in favor of Note 4 but I really prefer WP OS.

I love the L930 specs and design especially the 1080p screen but it still is quite small even for 5 inches.. I'm confused since right now I'm using an ordinary phone and I'm really bored. I don't think I can wait until September for the new flagship.

If you want a big screen and tons of spec, the 1520 is it for now. There is no telling when a new flagship will be announced or what size screen it will have.

1520 advantages are many and include:
  • Taking advantage of all 8.1 GDR1 + Denim is offering
  • Snapdragon 800
  • 2GB RAM
  • Qi charging
  • 32GB Internal storage
  • microSD up to 128GB
  • IPS LCD (I prefer it to AMOLED and find the readability in full daylight a big plus)
  • 20MP Camera with DNG support
  • HUGE 3400 mAh battery

I would be shocked if MS was not working on a 1520 replacement. With iPhone now having a phablet version, and the popularity of the Galaxy Note, MS must know they have to compete in that area.

I dug out my 920 today to load the Windows Phone preview on it . I'd tried it on my 1520 last month but took it off with too many problems. Got the 10149 build running on the 920 today. Not too bad. Reason for writing though here is I discovered how the speaker on the 1520 sucks compared to on the 920. I never cared for the sound quality or lack there of on the 1520. But boy that little 920 is much better! Think I'll keep it cranked up just to listen to my music on!

Yes. I would say get it, especially if there is a good price. Im at 18 months with this phone and I have to say I pretty much still love it! When something better comes along I'll consider it, but until then, this phone still impresses me regularly.

And after reading this post http://www.windowscentral.com/hands-windows-10-mobile-build-10149 and watching the video... I am now more than ever eagerly awaiting Windows 10.

Yes. the waters are muddy on a new flagship.

How so?

We know they are commited to a Flag device and device XL, we know a lot of the spec. We know they will launch around the time official Win 10 Mo goes live. History shows us that a new device launches with the new version shortly before OTA roll out to existing devices...

Barring something unforeseen it is pretty clear "Cityman" and "Talkman" will be coming this fall.
