storage problem and lag

Ok so i have a lumia 520.. According to lumia storage check the settings app is taking about 55mb of space,is that normal.....and whenever i open settings on my phone there is a lag during the opening animation... its not really a major problem but the lag is kind of increasing day by day..

It depends on what you call lag. It isn't unusual for Settings to take a second or so to open. Also, that is normal for Settings.

Settings on my Lumia 620 takes up 58 MB.
For the lag part, if it stutters during the animation, then it's fresh off a reboot.
If you encounter a loading screen occasionally, that's normal.

If it stutters even when it didn't reboot recently (you can see this info with the Insider app), that's not normal.

No matter the phone, it takes a second or two to open apps. The phone has to poll that app and tell it to do something. Lag is when you move your finger across the screen and the screen does not keep up with your finger.

my last reboot was yesterday...but it still stutters ocasionally

there is a stutter even when i open microsoft office or contacts ..
But other third party apps seem to open quite swiftly!
