Windows Central Question

Recently I bought Lumia 532 (new phone, not secondhand) to replace my old Lumia 520. I inserted the SIM card, SD card, battery and personalize everything

I found something unusual with Storage Sense. In my SD card, I have about 6 GB of files containing musics, videos, pictures, etc. But in Storage Sense, all of them are categorized as "Other", which I know the phone is unable to differ file formats.

How do I fix this? I have updated the system twice, restart the phone and nothing changed

Here is the phone detail, in case needed

OS version: 8.10.14234.375
Firmware revision number: 02074.00000.15234.28003
Hardware revision number: 1.0.0.0
Radio software version: 20c9.00076.0001
Chip SOC version: 8212

Have you opened the respective apps (photos and music)? It takes a while, especially for large amounts, before storage sense correctly sorts the files. Your files will still work though.

I have been there.

There are two solutions.

1. Wait.
Yes. It will take time. But it will put everything in order. Open photos and music and video apps and let them sync.

2. Open the sd card on laptop or files, move all the music to the newly created music folder. Transfer all the pictures to the newly created pictures folder and same for videos. (move from the folder you put them in to the folder which will be newly created as default by the phone itself.)

Lemme know if it helps. :)
