Strange yellow / purple hue in photos

Dear all,

I recently (August 2015) purchased a L930, and am loving it, however I noticed that photos taken with a darker exposure tend to have a strange/horrible yellow and purple hue.

Anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?

From my tests it seems to be more or less random. This is using Lumia Camera 5 by the way.

Sensor noise. That line goes through entire frame. For me it's only present in relatively low light shots (indoor without flash on auto, outdoor after sunset at low eV). Try experimenting with different settings (shutter speed, exposure compensation) on manual, not auto.

But does anyone know what causes it exactly? Is it a defect of the lens? Is it present in all devices?

It isn't a defect, basically it's just how ANY sensor behaves when it doesn't get enough light.
