I strongly believe that despite the complaints of WP8.1 official release that like those that came before it, there will be bumps along the road. Neither IOS nor Android got it right the first time and years have passed that they've been able to almost perfect their OS. Right now I believe that WP is in a position right behind both those OSes that whatever they release MS will be in the backseat observing their releases and simply improve upon them or just plain blow them out the water with their own creation. Makes 0 sense for MS to be in 3rd in this Marathon and not look for signs of "weakness" that it can make its move to take over 2nd and then go for 1st. We are all anxious for what WP8.1 can do and its been too long that we the WP loyalists have been waiting for MS to reward us with an OS that just mind blowing. Mind blowing doesn't have to be 3d projected images above the phone, or you tell your phone to start your car or switch the tv channel or anything like that but it just have to be one that when demoed to others that they just say WOW that's niceeee!!!! Can't help but to keep saying that MS knows what it's doing even though it may come across that they have the vehicle in drive but heading backwards. Doesn't anyone think that MS is just gearing up WP8.1 to have everything that both IOS and ANDROID have to offer, but just does it with flawless fluidity.

Yes, we all think alike. No company wants to go back. It is upto them how well they market it and consider the needs of changing user environments.

Secondly, Please do not write in paragraphs. Even if I find your writing interesting, it was indeed difficult to read. :smile:

Thirdly, We can't say for sure that MS is going to have everything that iOS and Android have, because, all OSes are different. Even their inception (Founders) have different visions- Steve: Pixel Perfect; Android: Scalable and now MS is universal. See that's the difference. MS will win after creating a difference. Like e.g. if Cortana gets really successful and changes the way we interact with our mobile phones, than it is an entirely new success for MS, While Google and Apple could be using something else for their success( e.g. gesture).

One simply cannot expect WP to behave or be like Andorid/iOS, and it should never be! I really wish that Cortana makes a difference, creating an entire new user experience for users and rendering the old "Graphic intensive" UX less important. And this will make quite a good difference, since other two heavily relies on the Graphic intensive UX. Thinking about MS-WP like this make some sense for the future.
