Streaming to PS3

Using my Surface 2, I am attempting to stream music / video via my ps3 to my TV / entertainment system. I have the playto app. When I click on devices, my printer and desktop show up but no PS3. I attempt to add a device and my surface searches but finds nothing. My ps3 is turned on and on the network. Its also been updated to the latest. Can someone help me as to why my Surface is not seeing the ps3?

Unfortunately the PS3 does not support the Play To function. You can only access media servers from the xmb menu on your ps3, but not stream to it

Ok. Thanks. I read the ps3 could be used. that is depressing.

There has to be some sort of way, maybe an app or something I've been trying to do the same thing. The surface supports dlna and so does the ps3
