I was checking out the preorder page for the Pro 3 and decided to try some stuff. I went to the EDU version of the Microsoft store and applied the 10% discount. I knew that they are also having a Graduation sale. So I applied the promo code: GRADUATION. The discounts combined! It blew my mind.

Before tax it comes to $916.09!!!

Before you preorder, add the discount code. I hope I don't get an email that tells me I can't do this.

I'm so excited, just saved 212 bucks.

I got the $100 off with GRADUATION code. How did you get the 10% additional discount?

The 10% off discount is for students. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. Also the $916.09 price is the i5 128Gb version with a type cover (no tax added).

I think they killed it. I just tried with the code and it is not working. Maybe because I'm ordering the i7? Anyone else have luck?

Do you have a link for the student discount for the SP3?

I tried searching I'm coming up with bubkis

edit: The promo code is not working for the 128 or 256gb standard non edu model - maybe for the education version it will

Just spoke with support:

"The Surface Pro 3 is a pre order, you wouldn't be able to use a promo code on a pre order. Due to the item not being available for general sale."

Also, I got into the Education website and there's no Surface Pro 3 there at all so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Nvm, I figured out what you were talking about.

smoheath, thanks. I don't have an .edu E-mail address so no student discount for me I guess. But at least I was able to get the $100 off last night.

sign up for a class in any community collegey. you will then get an .edu email. use it then quit school. lol

In the UK we get nothing on the new devices. ****.

Yeah...I was looking for this. The only thing available is on the previous/ older models. I have no idea why this is so. However, I did get academic discounts when I bought Office 365 (actually, there was a academic version).
