Stupid Noob Question

I recently got my HTC surround, and I have figured most of the stuff out. But here is my qestion:

i use Gmail for e-mail and when I receive Office attachments (Like Spreadsheets, or .docs, or even .PDF files), how do i save them. I see the paper clip and I press and hold and it wants me to save the picture. I press and hold the attachment name and it comes up with Open in new tab or share.

Just wondering if I am doing something wrong to save attachments from gmail?

Once you click on it and open it in office, got the the menu and you will see a save as.
