Successor to Lumia 925?

Any news on when Nokia is releasing a successor to the 925? I'm still hesitant to buy it because it feels rather outdated to me, and I don't want a phablet like the 1320 or 1520.

well There are rumors of Nokia or Microsoft announcing a 920 successor soon. But since the 925 is a refresh of the 920. it'll probably be out at the end of this year.

I read somewhere that Nokia is planning to release a Lumia with the design of the 925 with a 5.2" display, Snapdragon 800 and 20MP rear camera.

I don't know how credible the site was but, I'll try and find the article and update my post if I do.

Definitely sounds interesting, I've always thought 4.5" is a bit on the small side. 5" is the sweet spot for me I would say, and with newer specs I couldn't be happier if it happened.

I'm gonna be a mother****er and buy the Nexus 5 just to try out Android again, haven't used it since my HTC Desire way back. Will switch between 920 and Nexus 5 and WHEN Nokia releases this baby I'ma buy it

I'm guessing near the beginning of Summer is when we will get new phones from all of the OEMs as that's when 8.1 *may* be released. So with that in mind, grab the 925, even if it is a little out dated, with it being a Nokia phone, your still getting new features coming down the road from 8.1 onward. I got myself a 920 about 2 months ago and don't regret it at all, would have gotten the 925, but 32gb of space is more appealing.

Don't expect any official announcements because Mobile World Congress is about a month away. I suspect that's when Nokia/MS will announce their next flagship phone. And since MS is buying Nokia's phone division, there's a good chance the 1520 is Nokia's last major release. It could all be the "Surface Phone" from here on out.

Daniel Rubino posted yesterday that he doesn't think there will be a flagship announcement at MWC. Thinks flagship will be due around the time 8.1 is out. Here's a link

I have a nexus 5 and moto x and spend most of my time on android. Picked up a mint 925 on SWAPPA for great price. You can get one for 250 or so. I am also interested in the next wave of WP models, but want to get an inexpensive 925 to check out. I like the camera and use it primarily on the weekends, when I take most of my pics. Not enough apps on WP yet for my to replace android during the work week.

Yes the camera on 925 is excellent compared to Nexus 5's. Mostly I miss the customization as I was a real modfreak back in the day, and pure Android is as smooth as WP8 I would say.
