Suggest a good IRC app

It may sound old but I am really looking for a good IRC app.

I'd recommend IRC7 pro by adafy. There is a free version, but the paid version is arguably the best IRC client on the store.

What server are you using? Can you suggest some good servers?

I use a random server on freenode. Type irc.freenode.net and 6666 as the port.

Still you have to keep sreen on all the time still? It always disconnected me when screen went of before when I tried so gave up

If IRC7 is the best, I shudder to think what others are like. It sucks! In WP7 it was due to OS limitations that it couldn't keep connections open when running in the background, but aren't those limitations gone in WP8? No matter the reason, an IRC app that doesn't keep the connection open in the background (and under lockscreen) is completely useless. Maybe WP just will not ever work with IRC.
