I came from android ( used about 7 google phones) background. my 640xl lte dual sim is my first windows 10 phone. i like this window phone which is fully compatible with my win 10 pc. however, i found some thing can be improved. In android phone, each app can be reset in two ways: 1) clear the cache, 2) reset the app to factory default. but with window phone, there is no such function for most of the apps- especially factory app which come with the system. last time, i have to do a hard reset just for fixing my sms notification err. After installed the latest 586.29, i have another issue with my outlook which gives notification even all the mails have been read. it still give notification after i delete the account. I noticed there is a 'reset' function in onedrive app but not for outlook. i dont know how hard to add a reset function for such app, but i believe it can be done. when i am using the windows phone as my business phone, it just does not make sense each time if there is a bug related to an app, i have to carry out a factory hard reset , then reinstall every app! Please. At least to have reset function for some key apps ( which cannot be un-installed). anyone agree with me? please add your vote.

It's fairly simple. Simply uninstall the app in question and the data will also be removed. Reinstall the app and you're starting over again.

System apps can't be removed though, so a hard reset is needed to sort these ones out.

IDK if that is true Pete. I think some data may be stored (somewhere, IDK), because whenever I reinstall some app, it shows 'Restoring user data' as part of the installation (downloadin>installing>restoring user data>...).
I may be wrong.

it does not make sense to do hard reset all the time after an update with one app has err. and it can be done. onedrive is also a system app , but it has a reset function. if i use this phone a a business phone, then i dont want to reset to reload all the apps. i dont know how technically the differences between android and wp. most Microsoft apps in the android and ios are with much easy to use interface. i used to have one drive and onenote on my android phone. the interface and setting is lots more easy and functional......why the same app back to 'home' is more complex and hard to use?

The core nature of Win10 mobile is opposite to Android e iOs, it's a closed sand box. And that's a insider build, (the 00 versione is the more stable, created for 950 / 950XL only). As pc's sometimes went corrupted during s.o. install, the same on smartphones. That's all.
EDIT: MS apps are third.party added by user on Android and iOs., but in Windows are melted in s.o.
