Surface 2 Completely Stopped Working

I bought my Surface 2 on Tuesday. It worked fine this morning. I went to turn it on again and nothing happens. It's charged but I can't get it to work.

Any suggestions?

Acutally I just read about holding the power button down for 10 seconds and it worked. However, I'm a little concerned that this happened so soon. Has anyone experienced any thing like this?

It's a well known problem with the original Surface RT. It must of carried over to the Surface 2. I'm surprised and disappointed that it hasn't been fixed yet.

Glad to know that there is an easy solution. Hopefully this can be corrected with a minor update. Although it seems doubtful if this is a legacy problem.

It's been ever since 8.1 (even the preview had this bug) though on my RT it happened every time I took my Surface out of my bag, with the 2 it has happened only once so far.

That won't fix the Software bug.

They will fix... Mine doesn't have this problem and uses the same software

Yeah its 8.1 related. Had a surface RT since launch and it never did it until I upgraded to the 8.1 preview. Its done it twice I think since then.

I returned mine and exchanged it. I updated the surface in the store in case I came with the same problem. do the same if u live near a microsoft store.
