Hello.

Looking forward to buy Surface 2 this Summer break. About the keyboard, is Surface RT touch cover keyboard the same version for Surface 2 touch cover keyboard? Is it compatible?

Looking here :
Microsoft Surface 2 64GB P4W-00001 - Best Buy
the touch cover keyboard for Surface RT is listed as compatible accessories for Surface 2. Someone explain it to me. Thank you. :)

Yes, both of the original Touch and Type covers are compatible with the Surface 2. Most people really prefer the Type cover 2, though. Touch covers don't seem to get so much love. Here's a comparison.

Id shop online for the keyboard. I got a refurbish touch cover for 30 bucks with free shipping. Got the hmdi cable for 4 bucks.

Yes I've been thinking the same way. But the problem is it seems I can't find touch cover 2 with cyan color in any online store. Only black available. I want cyan so badly :/

Cyan is mine. I like it. I wonder what it is about cyan that everyone loves so much though.

both touch cover and touch cover 2 are compatible. however, they are not the same keyboard.

the touch cover 2 is backlit meaning you can see the letters in the dark. it also has a lot more sensors and is more responsive. the touch cover 2 has 1092 sensors versus the original touch cover which has 80 sensors and isn't backlit. the touch cover 2 is also more durable and less flimsy.

i wouldn't get the original touch cover at all. it's not a dependable keyboard. it works in a pinch and I say it's about equal (in different ways) to the terrible keyboard of the Asus Transformer T100, but it's not a keyboard you want to type essays on.

I haven't tried the Touch Cover 2. But reports say it's better (though how much, I cannot say of course without personal experience).
