I am current college student who has a 15" HP computer with I5 processor, 8GB of ram and 750GB hard drive so I am not looking for anything powerful, but it can be a bit of pain to bring to every class. I am previous Surface 2 owner. I enjoyed the portability, and with the release of the Surface 3 I have been looking at getting back into the Surface game. I would be using it to bring to all my classes take notes, watch netflix, and take on trips. My biggest question is how difficult is the process to get movies transferred from google play to a Surface 3. I have about 7 movies I would want to have dowloaded onto the Surface 3. Any of you have any experience in this department? Sorry if this has been discussed a lot, It is just a bit of a deal breaker for me if its a painful process. Thanks!

I understand that, but I am taking about having them downloaded onto the device so I can watch them even when I do not have a Wi-Fi connection

I don't know. I've never purchased movies from Google Play or Xbox Video, even though I have Android devices. My suggestion would be to ask our at our sister site AndroidCentral, since the folks there are friendly and are experts on all things Android/Google. Your question would apply to any PC, not just the Surface 3, since the Surface 3 runs full Windows 8.1. So I'd suggest asking on AndroidCentral about how to download a movie purchased on Google Play on Android to a PC.
