For people using the surface pen. Do you notice that in landscape the very top left corner doesn't register the pen input or cursor when you hover over it?

Update: nevermind I reset the old calibration and did a full screen calibration and it is fixed :)

Im a real estate agent and use mojodialer. Its an online based system used to make cold calls or telemarketing. I am using my s3 to make onenotes on people I want to follwow up with to sell their home. On day 2 my S3 has been freezing using Mojo. I looked online and had to press the power button and the up volume button to restart. This is a tedious process because it takes me out of my place on calls. ANY HELP?!

Regarding my issue of the S3 not charging properly, I called tech support and my issue seems to be resolved. Let me first clarify that it wasn't just charging with other chargers. I watched a the last episode of GOT on the HBO Go site with the S3 plugged in with its charger and I don't think the meter even moved and may have even depleted.

Tech support was very nice and patient and had me "Refresh your PC without affecting your files" and also uninstall the "MIcrosoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" driver in the Device Manager under Batteries. I believe I uninstalled the driver first before doing the Refresh. Then I restarted and did a full update. Now when I plug in with the S3's charger it says "plugged in, charging" instead of "plugged in, not charging". I note that, if I plug in a phone charger for example, it still says "plugged in, not charging". So it seems that the S3 needs its charger to fully charge. Hope that helps someone else!

But it seems to me that charging with the tablet turned off seems to be the quickest way to charge. Anyone else think so too?

When you close the Touch Cover, the screen turns off on the Surface 3, but when you open it, unlike my Surface 2, it doesn't wake the Surface up. You must use the power button. It is a nit, but a pain in the b@#t nit.

Once fully charged and set up, I connected to my home wifi, tried to do windows updates and it fails constantly, reboot the S3, same issue, reboot the router, same issue. Test on my wifes laptop, Wifi works perfectly fine. Paired it with my Verizon phone, and it can get updates fine. After updates were completed and depleting my data, it was able to correctly connect to my home wifi. HOWEVER, when it does it seems to eat 100% bandwidth no matter what, no other PC in the house can reach any websites, even though internet connection is there. A reboot of the router when the S3 is connected resolves this issue, but will go back to the way it was a few hours later. Router is D-Link DIR-655, I might end up replacing it.

Yeah I noticed that too. Not too big of a deal but otherwise sort of annoying. I figured maybe it is because this is a full Windows PC instead of Windows RT running on it. I'm not sure if the Surface Pro 3 does this too or not.

I noticed the same issue. I consider this a bug.

I had my touchscreen go unresponsive once, where I had to reboot the S3 in order to get it to recognize touch input again.

I have had a few issues such as the sound not working, the cursor arrow disappearing, that required a reboot. As mentioned earlier, the type cover will pit the S3 to sleep but not wake it up. Microsoft needs to fix that one. Even my Kindle Paperwhite turns back on when I open the case.

Is there a setting for the top of the pen to wake up Onenote? I've never been able to get it to work.

Oops guess the pen wasn't paired via Bluetooth.

Yes, install the Surface app and you can choose to have it open either the desktop version or Modern version of Outlook 2013 Surface app for Windows in the Windows Store

I'm not 100% sure, but you may need to launch OneNote at least once for it to work.

EDIT: Didn't see the second line of your post, glad you figured it out :)

I had the sound issue earlier today, reboot fixed, but not ideal. The opening of the cover annoys the hell out of me too!

See mine doesn't do anything when I close the cover. However when I place the cover in the rear of the device it does turn off as designed. Can anyone confirm if it is a real feature or not? I know I read that the SP3 the cover doesn't do anything.

Has anyone noticed a slight halo around the screen on certain backgrounds? I don't see any definite light bleed at all, but I see a halo on grey and blue backgrounds. Really strange, though, as I don't see it on all black backgrounds like in the Netflix app.

Just wondering if this is something I should contact Microsoft about or what.
