Surface Book Boot Windows 10 from external HDD

Hi there. Apologies if this is a double thread - I created a thread about this and then it didn't appear in the main forum page.

--------------------------------

I'm running Debian 9 on my Surface Book with performance base. I have a Samsung T5, which I want to use to run Windows 10. I've tried using the guide but no dice. The Surface UEFI doesn't see the external drive at all, and the GRUB boot loader tells me:

error: no such device: 7259-4295

error: unknown filesystem

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, Welcome to the forums :) found the other thread and removed it, as this one seems to contain more info. The previous thread was published, because new users need a certain amount of posts before they can post links to external sites
