Recently I've bought Surface Book. Few days ago I've realized strange issue with front side of it. Here are two photos below: on one the screen is cleaned by microfiber, while on another one I've stained it by using my finger. It is viewed the area with wet dot near dynamic. If I clean it by microfiber, this area completely disappears. It doesn't look like ordinary area with wet trace from oiled finger. What is it?
The same problem is present on edges of the corpse in another places.

So I have no idea what your talking about your not making any sense.... But if your talking about the smudge near your headphone jack then that is your speaker grill next to the smudge.

Are You serious? [:)].

can you post a close up shot?

Ok. For making the defect explicitly visible, I've made two photos close up to defect zone.
On the first photo the screen is cleaned by microfiber. You don't see anything (oil smudges, scratches etc.).

The second photo was made after swiping of my finger. Of course, all the part of the screen on which I've swiped by finger is covered by oil. There is nothing strange. By there is separated area (which is viewed very well on this photo) where the smudge is different. It's hard to delete the oil from this area - it takes much time.

There are three same areas in different part of the front body of Surface (not on the screen, rather on the frame). What is it?

I'm not understand this thread at all, OP, are you saying the smudging differs based on the where on the screen it occurs?

It seems like a normal smudge to me, and you cleaned it up (based on your images provided), so I'm not understanding the issue

Yes, I mean that the smudge which is on the photo is different from smudges which appear elsewhere on the screen and border.

This smudge looks very dirty, and seems to occur because of bad oleophobic cover on the corpse.

I see it now, and yes, there's a defect somewhere. Perhaps it's the cover as you said or the glue part wasn't that good in that area. Try wiping it clean with the cloth a few times as you've been trying -

Have you tried a cloth dampened with a bit of cleaning fluid? It looks like there is just something sticky on the screen that the fingerprints stick to.
