Surface Book with Ultra-Wide Monitor?

Hello, I have a 29" Curved Samsung monitor with resolution 2560x1080. I hooked up my Surface Book to it via mini display port to HDMI and I can't get it to work completely filling the screen because the 2560x1080 resolution doesn't show in the display settings when plugged in. Does anyone else have experience with this or know how to get it to correctly display? I've tried everything I can think of.
