I understand the reasons why they weren't included, but the Surface laptop would have increased the wow factor for me if there was USB-C and mini HDMI. Nonetheless, I am still impressed. Can't afford it, but still drooling over the dream of having one.

The fabric on the keyboard area has me concerned, but not for the durability of the fabric itself. I am more worried about how they are adhering it to the casing. The fabric has held its own on my Surface Pro 4 Type Cover but will it stay put on a the Surface Laptop when it is sitting over the hottest parts of the laptop or will the glue start to melt, causing the fabric to lift off?

There was time 12 years ago when I stood on a turning point. I could have been an IT professional, a windows developer or a web developer in a mostly non windows environment. I choose the latter and never looked back.
Web development then became later mobile web and soon enough native iOS. In a nutshell that's how I became an iOS dev.

Similar story I'm sure for lots of other android and iOS developers. I must say say being an iOS dev is incredibly rewarding, the platform moves forward constantly, hard to keep up actually. Don't think I've ever been bored

Mobile is clearly eating the world. Yet enterprise software clearly has a huge role. Airline systems, governments, hospitals. Plenty of .net code I assume. Are .net developers happy and exited? For me it's the road not taken. Any regrets? Not really but one wonders.
