Surface Go 2 not working on Verizon?

i just got my SG2 and i tried using the Verizon online tool and then called Verizon hep. I gave them my IMEI and he told me the IMEI and the model are not compatible with Verizon networks. He told me neither the esim or physical sim would work, but noted that the SG2 may be added to the work eventually.

Anybody else having this issue with a tablet that is several hours old?

Chances are it's too new. Hence your issue. As the Verizon guy said, it most likely will take time to get support.
