What other features would you like to see in the new laptop? I would love if it had 360º rotation. What about you?

I think it hits the spot they're looking for quite well. I know we all want top end features and everything bundled into one device but they were clearly looking at a certain demographics for this machine which required probability and to be relatively cost efficient.

I want to say USB-C port on either side with maybe an adapter for the Surface dock connection. That's the best feature from the Macbook Pros I don't think other laptops have - charging from either side!
An extra USB port wouldn't hurt as well.
Dedicated graphics? Am I asking too much? :P

hey there. youre right, a second usb port would be nice although its not high on my list of things to want. my current laptop has 2 usb ports which is good because i plug in a usb mouse all the time and use my external hard drive periodically. i just have to adapt with the surface laptop, but its better than not having that capability at all.

hey there, good point. other than the hard drive space im totally okay with the design of the surface laptop, but its definitely for a specific demographic so the ability to satisfy everyone diminishes. speaking of cost efficient, after the education discount which is 10% or $100 it becomes even more within reach for students to buy. planning is so hard so i give microsoft credit for what they decided to offer in the laptop.

Hmm this might sound ridiculous but how about a surface laptop model that does not use alcantara. I would really like something that will last me a few years like a carbon fibre finish.

hey there. i dont think its possible because the speakers are underneath all that fabric and the keyboard. im not a sound expert but i dont think speakers trying to blast through carbon fiber would sound good.

17 in or larger screen, dGPU, Thunderbolt 3, TV Turner.

hey bionicsix. why not just get sling tv (assuming youre in the u.s. or another, if there is, supported country)? sure theres limited channels compared to what a cable tv service offers, but at least you can watch live programming. ive thought about a 17 inch laptop also, that would be nice but i think ill get used to 13.5 inches (currently using a 15 inch laptop).

True forgot about the speakers XD

hey hahaha its okay. in looking at pictures of both the surface laptop and surface pro, the keyboard layout of the surface laptop and size looks the same as the type cover on the surface pro. maybe this design was on purpose and part of the reason why the speakers are under the keyboard? having the speakers exposed in the laptop would make the look of the keyboard different than the type cover, and nobody wants speakers under their device (*cough* lumia 950 and 950 xl *cough*).

A streaming service could be an option. I could adjust to a 13.5 inch screen also.

hey there. assuming you dont need a whole lot of tv programs, sling tv is a good option. i just remembered that hulu also has live tv programming so if youre in to hulu already thats another option.
