Surface pen issue

Just had a weird issue happen. The pen tip wouldn't write or detect on the screen. The eraser side still did though and the button click still worked.
Restarted, re-paired and still nothing. Opened the pen and reseated the AAAA battery and then the writing tip was detected again.

Have had that happen twice, reseating the battery always seems to fix it....

This has been an issue going back to the SP3. I used to be able to fix it with a quick toggle of bluetooth, but that doesn't seem to work on the Surface Book. If it happens to me again, I'll try the battery trick.

I was reading somewhere where someone said they dropped the pen and cracked the tip. They took it to the MS store and they gave them a new pen and some extra tips.
