Surface Pro 3 charger caught fire

Hey guys, how can you tell if you have a new charger since the recall or the original one? I'm asking because I got my surface used and the charger just caught fire, i'm assuming that means it's likely an old one but would like to be sure

just checked the recall webpage, seems I have the new one. think I should complain to Microsoft?

p.s. it's not the cable that caught fire but the actual power block, it's bloody stinks

Always contact the manufacturer when ever some thing catches on fire.

The recall was for the plug-cable only, the charger itself was not recalled.
But as per above, go back to the manufacturer.
