Surface Pro 4 Multi-monitor output

Shortly getting a SP4, I will have a docking station to allow two external monitors, my question is can I use the SP4 screen itself as notepad itself (i.e. as a third display with OneNote (or similar) where I can jot notes down?) if so how would I go about setting this up.

Yes. Simply plug the SP4 and the monitors into the dock. Beware that the highest resolution allowed from the SP4 is 1920x1080. This is a huge disappointment to me because when I first got my SP4 last March it supported 2560x1080 and I bought an LG 29U and loved it. MS did a software "upgrade" in May and added the 1920x1080 restriction. ANNOYING.
