Surface Pro 8 Cracked Screen at Speaker

I have a Surface Pro 8 with an extended warranty (not Windows Complete) that has developed two cracks about 4" long across the top of the screen. The warranty is in effect till 2023. The cracks start at the corner of the cut out in the screen for the speaker. I have never dropped this device and there is no evidence of frame or case damage. This looks like a defect in the screen to me. Has anyone ever heard of this? I am worried about having to wipe this and send it to Microsoft just to have them deny the repair.

I have never heard of it. Unfortunately, chances are you will have to pay for a screen replacement.
