I like when I stay in one platform. I know there isn't one company that provides every necessary service (i.e. Apple lacks it's own search engine; must use Google, etc.), but Apple has a lot of the essential services all wrapped together like Mail + .me address, iTunes files, notes, calendar, alarms, contacts are all Apple based, on the cloud, and easily accessible on my other Apple devices.
I also like how iMessage works when I'm not on iOS, and Apple is supposed to implement some new features to that too such as being able to text not Apple users from the desktop as well as receive calls from ones iPhone on the desktop. How can I implement similar features in Windows? Can one do that with Skype?
I'm enjoy Apps, but I'm not an "App Junky." I don't need to download every piece of junk that's uploaded to a store, but I would like to know that I will still have a choice of a plethora of essential Apps on the Windows platform.
One thins I just noticed as I type is that on OSX, one can look up in dictionary a specific word in addition to auto correct. It's little features like that one that made me enjoy Apple. How can I bring some of those creature comforts to Windows? Are there different commands or settings for things like that?
Thanks!
