Synching Oultook contacts to Google Contacts on Android

I seem to be having a problem just recently synching my outlook contacts in to my Google contacts app. Previously it was working but now it has failed.
I'm using a Nokia 8 with the MS launcher.
Just can't synch contacts across. The app now only shows my Google account. It says my Outlook/Live account is connected, but the contacts are not seen.
Any ideas?

Check your permissions with the app to be sure that the contacts permission is turned on with Gmail and with the launcher.

Go to settings->apps->microsoft launcher and scroll to permissions.
As for the sync, try going to settings->accounts and check the time it was last synced.

Woohhoo. Eventually found the button to switch on.
In MS Launcher settings, Accounts area, then touch the account name to open a new window. There is sync contacts button.
