System Hardware Update 5/14/2015 problems

Has anyone had issues with the System Hardware Update from 5/14/2015 installing fine and then later on it will say that it needs to install? It keeps happening and I can't figure it out.
 
I have the same. Firmware updates never seem to fully install in Windows 10 for me on my Surface Pro 3 (I assume you're talking about the same device). I always either get an error to say it didn't install, or it thinks it's installed and prompts a reboot. The next day, the same update appears again.
 
Yes, sorry about that. I'm using a SP3. But, yep, it happens the same with me for this system update. All others have actually installed fine for me...just the problem with this particular one.
 
Not sure now. I finally just went back to 8.1. The bug with the lockscreen blanking if I was using a picture password and the crashes in general just made me move on.
 
It's been an issue with all Surface Pros for quite a while. There was something I read about it being related to if the user has ever done a system restore/installed another OS through the BIOS. But that seemed to be not fully correct. Even more annoying is that (from what I can see) in 10, you can't hide/dismiss/decline the update. It just keeps on wanting to reinstall.
 
Count me in as well. Is it strange to be glad I am not alone? I have submitted this to the feedback app...hopefully we can get a fix at some point.
 
I wouldn't hold your breath - it's been an issue since the first update for the first Surface Pro. And still no fix.
 
I'm glad I'm not the only surface pro 3 user with this problem with Windows 10 (build 10130).
I did try downloading the update manually, but cannot find a firmware pack with the 5/14 date.
 
Same issue here. Reply back if anyone finds something. I did do an OS re-install via BIOS also if anyone is counting.
 
Same here. Get prompted to install it every day or so and it seems to complete but still getting prompted.
 
I also have this issue on my Surface Pro 3. Is there a way to check and see if it is installed?

Ok, after installing 10162 I was prompted to again install the 5/14 hardware update. This time it is listed in my history as successful.
 
Not necessarily - after a "successful" installation it will often try another installation and fail. And fail. And fail....
 
Well, its back after installing the final build on my SP3. I've tried all posted fixes.
