T-Mobile Must Consider the 640 SUPER Valuable!

I don't work as a salesperson for any phone company. However, I could see a reason for older customers to return Windows Phones that is unrelated to trendy apps.

A business user might get emails asking for certain files he or she is working on. The inability to attach a file other than a picture when replying to an email could be a deal-breaker to a business user.

And let's not forget these other business world WP deal killers:

No duration displayed for phone calls. Are you an attorney? You'll never buy a WP, or you'll return it.

No way to offload/convert SMS conversations to CSV or text. Whether you just want a thread in a real, universal file, or need to present evidence, legal or not, can not do. Amazing. I thought for sure by now someone would have figured this out.

The MS/WP calendaring function is a joke. A bad one. Even Outlook for iOS has calDAV. But not for the home team? The whole thing with the "Hotmail Connector" for Outlook is a disaster. You can't just use an existing LookOut account and copy all your data in, it's all from scratch. And that presumes you want to pay for and deal with OL. I finally got resolution using Thunderbird with the Lightning plug-in, sync'ing to Gmail calendar, and then sync'ing to True Calendar 8 on my phone. Works great.

Until MS corrects these matters, forget WP in the world of business and government. Only general consumers need apply.

Hey, Laura - I used Symbian, too! In fact, every cell phone I had between 2002 and mid-2011 was a Nokia. The two I had from early 2009 until summer 2011 were Symbian devices. I loved the first one, wasn't so crazy about the second (but that had nothing to do with the OS).

God, I loved Symbian! From the 9290 through the E90, E93, and touch screen Belle. All able to connect to your PC, Outlook, Nokia Store, etc. WP is a poor challenger in ways that still matter.

You can simply long hold any call in your history, click details, and the call duration pops up. And if I'm not mistaken, there are apps that offer greater flexibility for email attachments, though I don't use any, so I'm not certain. Can't help much with the other issues, I'm afraid.

Thank you for that. Certainly well hidden, like synchronizing the phone to the MS cloud account. Not apparent. I've heard this complaint from many others, so I guess I'm not the only one who failed to find this. But, thanks.

The other issues remain.
