Task scheduled application starts but no tray icon
I tried this a couple times with a couple different apps but get the same results.
I have two applications (WAMPmanager and speedfan) that, when started, put an icon in the tray. I scheduled tasks to run at startup for these two applications and did a reboot.
WAMPmanager and speedfan both start (although it takes quite a while), but neither produce the icon in the tray.
I have also tried putting app shortcuts in the start folder (shell:startup) but neither would start.
1. Is there something special I need to do to get the icons in the tray when I start the apps at windows startup?
2. Is there some reason it takes around 30 seconds to hear my fans start to slow down (meaning speedfan has started)? In windows 7 they would slow down immediately.
