The 1520 is the ideal phone, but...

1080p, micro sd, lcd display, curved edges and polycarbonate, fast processor, 21 megapixel camera...but seriously, I would be all over this phone if but for one thing: It's just too big! Ever tried holding a Samsung Mega up to your ear ? It's ridiculous. I'm going to hold out for the 929, as long as the 929 has an microSD slot.

Everyone has different preferences. Some people like larger devices, whereas other people like smaller devices. The nice thing about Windows Phone is that there are varieties available, just like Androids but unlike iPhones.

Same here. the display is just too big for me. I would prefer a 5" screen. AMOLED preferably, and not LCD. But that's just me :)

Exactly. I don't understand why people need to make these threads.
Absolutely nobody is forcing you to buy Lumia 1520.

I'm in the same boat as far as screen size. I'm upset Verizon isn't getting the 1520, but I really think AT&T customers are getting a worse deal by not getting a 929 variant.

People like me are just upset because they aren't seeing any phone with updated specs being released at a size they want.

But windows phone is slick regardless of the quad core. And the 1080p screen may look slightly better on a smaller screen but it's negligible at best...not to mention the extra strain on the battery!

I was thinking of getting the 1520 to replace my Ativ S but I draw the dimensions out on a piece of paper and my god its huge lol like walking around with a tv remote to your head so I am now waiting for a 5" version or the next HTC could be good hopefully.

i liked it but returned it. It is too big. And no, dont say, but other WPs with less specs are just as fluid. Might be, but clearly WP is getting more mature, with newer devices all pushing the snapdragon 800 2GB RAM 1080p screens. So why would I want to just go out and buy something with the internals of 1/2 what is becoming the WP standard.

i think it is fair to assume that the next Nokia Lumia phone will be the Lumia 930, most likely a 5 inch version of the 1520 in esscence, but with Windows Phone 8.1, makes sense to me

amoled??? Tf

I prefer AMOLED too. Just not that pentile crap, unless the pixel density is higher to make up for it.
And Nokia Glance + AMOLED is ideal, not having my backlight constantly on because it's charging.

And I know, oversaturated blah blah. It's a phone, I don't need colour fidelity on it. But that's me.
