Look at the charger ports on the WinPho8 devices shown so far. Where are they?
Nokia and HTC both moved their charger ports to the bottom center of the phone.....but why? Well, it's not a coincidence.
WinPho8 is running Windows 8 (we know that). Plug it into a dock, and it will also run Windows. Well, it is running Windows, but it will actually dock and BE (or become part of) your PC.
Why don't we have the SDK? WinPho8 apps ARE WinRT apps. Just like you define the appearance when it's 'snapped' -- you can also define the phone view. Same app, but different interface for each environment.
So, you can buy an app and it flows from phone to PC to tablet thru everything in between......seamlessly.
Microsoft's big reveal isn't a Surface phone, it's the Surface dock.
