The end of the road for me? Nokia Icon seems to be bricked after update

Phone tried to do an update today (already on Windows 10 Mobile), and after the gears screen advanced a lot, now all I get is the Windows Icon and then the Verizon red screen and that's it. It's not booting up. I already did a soft reset (several times)

If this can't be easily fixed, then this is it for me. Getting an Android tomorrow.

Do you know if there's a fix to get this to boot.

Well, losing all of my settings. Again. Having to install everything... Again.

WTF. They really know how to treat the few customers they have left. I'm really mad right now, almost hoping that the Recovery Tool doesn't do its job.

it takes a ton of time at the orange verizon screen for me, kind of normal now, maybe you're too anxious

but then again, I don't do minor updates, only from major builds, TH2 > RS1 > RS2 so that helps me being patient when its finally time to get an update

It got stuck on the Verizon screen for minutes the first few times, between restarts, and then I decided to wait, it was 45 minutes. There was something wrong, but at least the recovery tool was able to fix it.

Now it even feels faster than prior to the update.

I'm glad it was saved. Did you have any issues with the microphone? I know there have been numerous issues with Lumia icons/930 migrating to W10M.

I recovered my Icon too and with the latest Slow ring it is FAST. Love it. Restoration was easy once things got underway. Probably helped having a 100 mbit incoming line.
