The Gushing

[Long Syntax]

I'm following the Apple Keynote on theVerge as well as live streaming it at work (part of my job). I know it's their job to be pro-apple at theVerge, but with all the gushing going on their live-blog I feel like I need a towel.

I've been glancing at the comments section at Ars Technica. The iPhone stories are all generally favorable. There are lots of negative comments already about the iWatch. Firs impressions aren't great. The look, the functionality is getting panned.

Think they overplayed the Apple Watch. Literally kitchen sink/jumping the shark territory. All I really want in a wearable, at this point, is a really good "remote" for music, workout/running, call handling. That's it.

I think Apple makes great hardware. The OS isn't shabby either, I just prefer WP. The thing I hate about Apple, and I know I'm not alone in this, is their smugness and all the fawning over everything they do. Their product launch presentations are like a circle jerk ;-)
