I still might get it after its first price drop, but I still feel more excited for other games coming close to its release, and I don't want to throw a crapload of money at games when I won't have time to play them all at once.

Pretty much how i feel. So many good games coming out this fall, I dont think I'll have time for a game like this. Maybe after a price drop or a few DLC releases that will be included on the disc later.

I still think im most excited for Evolve, followed by Halo: MCC

Ahh wish I wasn't addicted to it like you guys. I started it up again to just see is the BETA was back :( I'm not sure what about this game grabbed me but it's awful. Blah. Sucks. I tried Titanfall yesterday and was underwhelmed. I tried Halo 2 (prior to Destiny I had maybe close to 300 hours in a mere few months) and for some reason even it wasn't enough. Destiny has ruined my gaming collection. Think ima finally sell games back, which is something I've never done. If I can find the ghost edition anywhere thats exactly what ima do. I preordered it from gamestop but forgot I cancelled my order when I put in an order on Amazon. To bad it's not the ghost edition. Now I'm left at a struggle looking for anywhere within a 50 mile radius that might have the Ghost Edition.

Well to me destiny and Titanfall don't really compete against each other anyways. Destiny's pvp is lackluster but obviously it offers a real story and coop gameplay. I really enjoyed it though but yeah, I'm not quite as addicted as you are. However is still probably the title I look forward to the most out of games currently announced.

That said I don't really expect it to really have any mmo-like ability to keep me playing for several months or close to a year. I'll likely treat it as the average retail price single player game except that I'll mostly play it with some real life friends.

I'm not sold on Evolve, haven't seen enough to want it. Halo is the one I really want, but before it, I plan to get either Forza Horizon 2 or The Crew, along with NBA 2K15. First up is The Golf Club, and I will probably get Sunset Overdrive for Christmas. I'd get it sooner, but I think I'll be too busy with the other games to play it. Sports and racing seem to be the only genres in the near-future that I'm excited for, for whatever reason.

Actually, I know the reason. Dying Light and The Division got delayed until 2015, so 2014 lost my top-two anticipated releases, and without an Assassin's Creed compilation release on Bone, Unity does nothing for me.

To be fair, it doesn't really look like the previous Assassin's Creed games even match up story-wise to the latest ones.

I loved the first 5 AC games, ACIV I couldn't get into because the story wasn't Desmond's story anymore.

At this point it seems like the 'story' of the AC games is that there are Templars and Assassins. They hate each other. They try to stop one another. They are behind lots of historical moments... Play.

Yeah, but it's a principal-based thing. I want to play the others first, plain and simple. The problem is that I was so bored with the combat system less than 2 games in that IDK how much I'd even care to get the whole series.

I'm interested in Sunset, and Rainbow Six: Siege as well. I'm on the fence about AC... if the co-op is good and offers something new i will probably get it.

Just leaving my gamertag here for our Destiny roster:

Tommikovski – Europe

Played the Beta this weekend and really liked it. Was a little bit underwhealmed at first but it?s really fun to play with friends. So - the more the merrier.

Cheers,
Tom

I loved the beta, and I know it's NOT the final iteration of the game. I just have a few wishes and ideas that I think will make the game a tiny bit better.

Trading; Alot of controversy, but well that's why people are all different. I believe this will benefit the game and create a living breathing social economy. It's proven that MMO's with economy tend to get a more dedicated attached following. People will gets attached to there vaults and characters if they invest. Just my opinion.

Time Based Events; This will be a little more difficult since there's a bunch of people on different Timezones in the same game. I'm think a in game clock (different measurement of Time or no seen measurement) they could use the same implementation as Minecraft or fable. A Sun and Moon with a dial rotating in Destiny Time. They could also take the GTA approach and just make up a time and use that for the rest of the games lifetime. For the events I'm not looking for anything Major or really sociable, just a simple element to keep us feeling like the world is breathing. More "Dark" enemies (Witches/Hive/Knights/Ogres) can spawn at night with a +1 or +2 level boost. Different public event specified for night can also appear (Suppress the darkness from overtaking the land) etc.

Traveling Merchants; Specific Merchants can be specified for different worlds (most merchants probably wouldn't have space ship amirite?) And can wander randomly during the day. Rest in empty loot caves at night. They'll see items at a higher price, they'll rarely contain rares, but will always contain the ammo packs. Access the Vault via transmitter. They'll also let you see your current Vanguard, Crucible, and DeEncryption rank (forgot what it's called) so they'll be useful but not miracle workers. You'll still need the tower for most things. They'll also get a a refresh more often (every hour) and despite them walking they'll still teleport to a random location on the planet they're assigned to every half hour. This prevent people camping the Merchant for loot and ammo. Restricted from dungeons and tend to stay away from mobs.

Fireteam Instance PvP; This is self explanatory and I would LOVE to have some type of desperately ranked mini game. In explore you'll be able to challenge other Fireteams of similar size to a PvP match on the spot. Soft Boundaries would pop up and you would be thrown into your own "instance" (similar to when players on a story mission disappear from other players view when entering No Respawn Zones so they can fight the waves as a Fireteam/solo) to fight to 25 or 30 kills. This will make a more seamless action in explore. You won't be able to launch in certain Areas (indoors, dungeons, and raid areas) and all Fireteam members will have to accept launched by targeting another member of fireteam and viewing the options.

Weather; Only if it doesn't affect performance. Weather is hard to add into a detailed online game since it's very graphic intensive. If it doesn't affect gameplay it can be a good way to add an additional element.

Traveling NPC Quest; Similar to traveling merchants they'll travel around and give you slightly harder version of the beacon quest. Kill this many of these monsters, Collect these items, etc. They'll teleport every 15 minutes and you won't need to return to them upon completion. These will actually be redeemed on the spot (similar to Beacon Missions) but since there will only be a few on every planet, they'll be more more vanguard points (15 to 40 Vanguard Points) and will be used in conjunction with the Beacon missions which will remain the same with Vanguard Point awards. You can only talk to each questgiver once per hour.

TL:DR
? Trading
+ Self explanatory

? Time Based Events
+ Internal Destiny clock visible from your Ghost
+ "Dark" monsters are more common and higher leveled
+ Seperate public events during the night. More waves and more Dark Creatures appear as boss

? Traveling Merchants
+ Specific Merchant per Specific Planet
+ Wander at Day, Rest at Night
+ Always contains Ammo stock
+ Random weapon and armor, refresh every hour
+ Teleport every half hour to various locations (prevents camping for loot and ammo)
+ Restricted from dungeons and tends to avoid Mobs

? Fireteam Instance PvP
+ Challenge other Fireteams of similar size
+ Boundaries surround you within an !X meter circumference, H&W.
+ All Fire team members must accept (Press Select/Back/View button and hold RT/R2 to accept and LT/L2 to decline)
+ Key areas restricted.
+ 25 to 30 kills to win depending on Fireteam Size

? Weather
+ All weather included
+ Only add if performance doesn't suffer

? Traveling NPC Quest
+ Travel in Explore Mode
+ Teleport Every 15 minutes to various locations
+ Redeemed soon completion
+ Higher rewards, higher difficulty missions
+ Used in conjunction with beacons

? Proximity Chat
+ Proximity chat for players within X meters
+ Option to disable/lower proximity distance in settings
+ Option to lower volume of proximity chat

? Higher Player Count
+ Raise player count to give a bigger sense of community
+ Create Option for Invite lobby in explore mode
+ Raise size of Fireteam in explore mode

? Connected World
+ Connect all areas of the world via Terrain (Ex. I can see an accessible area from a mountain, but if I travel down mountain I hit death barrier)

Just don't put out an Auction House. That thing takes so much time away from the actual game. During my time on WoW, I'm pretty sure I was playing the AH close to half the time I was signed in.

I'd love trading in the game. There were times I just had a bunch of stuff that I couldn't use, but would've love to give some stuff to friends. After awhile it was just dismantling things...

My problem with trading in these games is that the point of looting loses out pretty quickly. If you can basically come into the game and have a friend who's further into the game gift you good weapons, the point of the MMO style of gearing up becomes pointless. While I'm not saying that trading shouldn't happen, I just mean that the need to do things to get gear lessens when you can curate your search by going to an Internet forum and asking someone who trade you what you need.

That's true Keith, and I thought that as well. At LEAST you can trade items between your characters through the vault system in the Tower. I didn't expect that.

One of the things that I'd love to see more streamlined is teaming up with random people. I ended up playing a few rounds/missions with some strangers and it totally kills the immersion when you join another person's fireteam and it sends you 'back into orbit' even though you're standing right next to each other before entering the mission. I understand that there could be the thought that I was in 'explore mode' and they were in an actual mission - but still... that was annoying.

And a big YES to proximity chat. When you're not playing with friends it's a pain to quickly communicate with someone or say, 'hello' to strangers. There are at most 16 players in your 'instance' of the map at any one time. Let me talk to them without having to team up with them. Especially if I WANT to team up with someone.

I can see the tower getting crazy chatty though with a proximity chat. But there has to be something to notify others that you're interested in teaming up to take on Devil's Layer or another difficult raid... in the beta I couldn't figure out how to do that...

At least it gives people the option.

They should try implementing street value price balancing (similar t ok what failed in RuneScape back in 2010 but hey it's worth a shot) and all that does is the trade needs to be working a few thousand glimmer of the value of the item. So said person couldn't accept a trade for an exotic weapon worth 80k glimmer unless he was being offered glimmer or an item around the same amount. Idk I really just want wealth in the game. Without it I swear with my grinding ima have a pool of repeated or useless exotics in my vault for no apparent reason.

There's something weird about the level though. It seems more like some.. optional progression-kinda thing. If you look at the screen with the equipped gear, it says he is level 20, but the top right corner with the character name and clan name etc say lvl 29. He was about finishing primary campaign, which also sounded to more around lvl 20'ish thing or so.
