The purpose of MixRadio

So, just tonight I discovered the existence of MixRadio, because new Angels & Airwaves' song came up online there and only there.

I never heard about it, if I didn't see the Microsoft logo on the page I wouldn't have known that it was Microsoft too; so my question is: why MixRadio still exsists when Xbox Music is here? Why they don't just merge it? It creates a lot of confusion imho.

MixRadio isn't apart of MS. It's still a Nokia product, which they're interested in selling. So obviously they can't do what they want with something that isn't theirs.

But in MixRadio site there's MS' logo everywhere

Haven't updated it recently, but I don't see any MS logos.

MixRadio has a presence in countries where xbox music doesn't. So something that may not seem big to you, is in fact big elsewhere. I happen to love MixRadio and its the only steaming service, which I know of, that has an official presence in South Africa.
