If you didn't pay for MS Products, they would go out of business and you wouldn't get them anymore.
This is obviously better than some of the budget laptops out there, so it deserves its price tag.
Also, if you price things super low, you are viewed by the public as a cheap or cut-rate company.

Kmart, WalMart... Low prices doesn't mean quality. There are many people who see the value of a quality product.

I'm not sure that anyone should buy something with 4g RAM these days. Especially for $1,000. There are juts way too much apps that would push the envelope on a device with 4g RAM.

I am positive that anyone would like a surface laptop, even those of the apple persuasion. It is a beautiful work of machinery. I am most certainly included in the crowd of hopefuls. Having that laptop would be an immense help. I am a vet and aboit to start my GI bill this fall. Don't have a laptop, and a free surface laptop would be a God send. I hope I am the lucky customer; but if not, happy for whom ever the winner is.
