Guys, I really need your confirmation as when I test one Lumia 625 (sold in Vietnam), it is very crazy there is no 1080p recording mode as advertised.

Here is offical specs from Nokia.com for Lumia 625:

Main video camera
  • Camera video resolution: 1080p (Full HD, 1920 x 1080)
  • Camera video frame rate: 30 fps
  • Camera video zoom: 4 x
  • Video playback frame rate: 30 fps
  • Video playback codecs: VC-1, Windows video, H.264/AVC, H.263, MPEG-4
  • Video playback file formats: MP4, WMV, AVI, 3GP, 3G2, M4V, MOV
  • Video recording formats: MP4/H.264
  • Video white balance modes: Cloudy, Fluorescent, Incandescent, Automatic, Daylight

And here is Lumia 625 in real life:

What does "And here is in real life:" mean?

You are showing us, well something. I very much doubt Nokia would be advertising a feature such as that and it not actually have that capiability. I just did a quick Bing search and see lots of 1080p video from the L1020 device posted.

I have the phone, just bought it today. It has 720p , that's the standard default and it does have 1080p as a secondary option.
My phone came from Hong Kong.

Could you give the "full" name of your device. I've just found that the Lumia 625s sold in Vietnam are exactly Lumia 625h. Maybe this version doesn't support 1080p recording (but I have no confirmation from Nokia Vietnam).

The phone box says Nokia 625 on top of the barcode where the IMEI number is and on the right it says CV HK, Black bonus orange cover. My phone is black and it came with an extra orange cover.
The rest of the info on the box is the bands it support , the imei and the wlan number

Okie, so the truth is:

Lumia 625 = 1080p video recording supported
Lumia 625H = 720p video recording supported

Of course the price of 625H is a bit cheaper.

END OF STORY!

This has nothing to do with video cam. Anyway 625H as far as I know support 4G, 625N doesn't.
Are you sure your provider support 4G?
L625 : Lumia 625.
L625 variants are 625, 625H, 625N. Cmiiw.

Anyway, here is a SS from Nokia Indonesia site, mentioning it's 720p. It's 625H.

My Lumia is purchased from India, but is Made in China. Whatever it be, I have the option to record at 1080p. Also the LUMIA BLACK update had brought support for 1080p recording. Try updating your device to LUMIA BLACK. Then you might get 1080p recording...
