The Verge reviews of Surface 2 and Surface pro 2

Nix the Verge and their reviews. I can't afford what they consider to be 9's and 10's. A "7" from them is a 9 in the real world.

Just saw the video and written review from the Verge. He has only a few valid points namely the App store weakness (something very rapidly being alleviated) and the OS itself feeling fragmented between Metro and Desktop.

Everything else he made mention of was Epic fail. Apparently the Ipad is better for viewing movies/shows, despite the Surface having a 16:9 ratio which is PERFECT for movies? LOL

Maybe he was referring to the app situation. Is there a possibility to watch MKV videos on the Surface? Is there one to watch them on iOS? What about apps like Netflix on the Surface? (Those are real questions, I really don't know.)

If you have better and broader access to media on iOS, this argument is valid apart from any screen ratios.

mobile.HD plays virtually everything I've thrown at it including MKVs with embedded subtitles files. iPads have always struggled with these things even with the Airplayer App.

Another thing the reviewer seems to completely miss is the Xbox Video/Music stores. Great sources for content/rentals.
