There's no WP for me...

I love WP, and the new hardware looks great, but each handset falls short for my needs. I care about having a compact phone with a great screen and enough storage for all of my music (~50GB).

L920
- Too big
- No SD slot

L820
- Disappointing screen

ATIV S
- Too big
- Plasticy

HTC 8X
- No SD slot

HTC 8S
- Tiny internal storage

If only there was a 64GB IPhone 5 running WP8!

I think you should wait for 64GB L920 or the next generation of phones Nokia will release. If you can't wait, the Nokia L920 will fit your needs the best, I believe.

Do you have an iPod that can hold your 50GB of music? If so, why not just get the Lumia 920? I have around 75GB of music but have two iPods and have all of it on my 160GB Classic. Only have around 7GB of music on my iPhone 4. I really only find the need to house my favorite bands/albums on my phone, but that's just me.

Just a suggestion. ;)

I'm thinking that too. I've got a new battery in my old Optimus 7 and a contract through till February.

I also have a 160GB classic, but it broke a while ago. I really want to consolodate down to one device for all my needs. It didn't happen last generation, and I settled for 16GB. I guess my hopes may have been too high for this one!

Wow! What a bummer all those choices and nothing to satisfy you.

I'm grateful that I don't have that problem.

But it is frustrating that so many devices are so close to being a perfect fit for my requirements.

Nokia has something like that in the works. Something between the 920 and the 820. But you will need to wait until Q1 2013. I don't know what others OEM's are doing, but I assume they will be releasing more devices too... if you can wait, it might be worthwhile.

Like I said, an Optimus 7. No it doesn't fill my requirements, but then no phone on the market did when I bought it. If Nokia were to bump the capacity of the 920 to 64GB or HTC do the same for the 8X I would be happy :)

Isn't there some sort of cloud solution you can use? I'm not entirely familiar with Xbox Music yet, but it was my impression that you can use that to keep all of your music in the cloud, or matches of all of your music in the cloud, and then download specific tracks to your device when you want to listen to it, or stream them. Then you would have access to all of your music and not take up the space on your device.

At least that was my understanding, but I could be off. I'm still trying to figure out this Xbox Music thing and I doubt I'll fully understand until I get a Windows 8 computer and a WP8 device to go along with it.

Don't forget to add the SkyDrive space into your equations too. For me, that's an extra 25GB...

It's only a matter of time until 64 GB Windows Phones hit the market.

Personally I haven't even filled the 16 GB on my 900, so 32 GB is more than enough.

i'm in the same boat. i want a ploycarbonate unibody, HD gorilla-glass protected screen and more than 26GB of free space after installing the OS.

none meet all requirements so thus i am leaning heavily towards the Lumia 920 which best addresses them.
