Thinking of purchasing an 830?

Hi

I'm planning on purchasing an 830 locked to Bell, I'm with Rogers.
does anyone know if this is possible? successfully.
Also will the LTE bands be compatible?
I don't know what RM-number is, i have not seen the phone yet.

i got in contact with Canada GSM, and they say there are no unlock codes for now for the lumia 830 on Bell

All Canadian 830 sold by the various carriers are RM-985...LTE will work if the carrier broadcast (if that the correct term) LTE.
Why not buy an unlocked 830 from Telus ?

If you are with Rogers, why don't you buy your 830 from Rogers or Fido. Both will work on Rogers.

Rogers and Fido units cost $100 less than what Bell and Telus are charging for the 830. and then you'll have to get it unlocked

Buying a phone from the carrier usually costs more. I'm not on contract. I'm using Chatr.
I'm in Montreal, I've probably seen tile 830 ad, is it the one from fido?
