I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, just checked a website and an email and placed the phone in my pocket. I think it vibrated so I took it out and it was off. I tried to power it up and the Nokia sign did appear but it went straight back off.

Then I had nothing. I couldn't power it up, couldn't charge it. I thought maybe the screen had gone but I couldn't hear anything either.

The only thing that got it out of whatever happened was a soft reset. It's booted up and working fine now.

The reason I'm posting is just to help anyone who might have a similar issue I just had and think it might have died.

Im just happy its working now. Anyone else had something similar?

I haven't experienced this sort of issue, but a few weeks back, while I was wirelessly charging my 925, when I went to check it, I noticed that it was completely frozen and unresponsive. Oddly, though, it wasn't off but was stuck on the Glance screen. I had to do a soft reset twice because it was unresponsive the first time. I panicked there for a second! Luckily, it booted back up okay after that and I was able to finish charging it (it had only charged to around 40-something% when this happened).

Yea I panicked too lol. And I am running 8.1.

The only thing I can see has altered is the time. Hope I haven't lost anything.
